TROOPERS WIN / BIG HORN FOOTBALL

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers picked up another conference win Tuesday night routing Douglas 16-5 and now stand at 22-4 overall.

Catcher Josh Loeske had three hits including a 2-Run Homer and five RBI the winning pitcher was Lucas Geisey.

The Troopers will be in Powell this weekend for a three day tournament they'll play five games against the host team, Williston, North Dakota, the Billings Halos, Cody and Lovell.

BIG HORN POLO

The opening tournament of the season at the Big Horn Polo Club was played Tuesday, June 17 at the Big Horn Equestrian Center.

The Polaris Cup, sponsored by Hando’s Service Center, was won by Perk’s Horspital over Magnolia Farms by a score of 7-5.

MVP was Ford MacCarty.

Best Playing Pony was “Kicks” owned by G-String Polo, and played by Richard Dudman.

TROOPERS FALL / OUT ON THE ROAD TONIGHT

TROOPERS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers dropped a 10-5 decision to Helena, Montana Monday night.

Short Stop Conner Mcafferty had a three run triple to spot the troops a 3-1 lead in the 3rd inning but Helena went off for 6 runs in the 5th to take a 7-3 lead.

The Troops would make it 7-5 but the the Senators countered with three more runs in the 7th to put the game away.

It was just their second loss in the last 12 games Head coach Ben Phillips says the breaks just didn't go their way.

SIMPSON AWARDS/ WYO HOF AWARDS / TROOPERS ROLL

MILWARD SIMPSON AWARDS - The 2012 Milward Simpson awards were handed out Saturday night.

The winners were Tanner Simpson from Lander and Mikayla Brower from Torrington.

Sheridan high school's Riley Ryan was also one of the nominees for this years award.

Riley earned five all-conference and four all-state awards in basketball, football and soccer. He was a four-year starter for the broncs in basketball and a three-year for the3 bronc football and soccer teams..

TROOPERS WIN 11 OF 12 AFTER VICTORY SATURDAY IN GILLETTE

The Sheridan Troopers won 20-2 in Gillette Saturday night to run their overall record to 19-3.

The Troops will be back in action at home Monday night when they host a single nine inning game with Helena, Montana first pitch is scheduled for 7:00.

TROPPERS WIN TO REACH 20 WINS

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers took two games from Sturgis, South Dakota Friday night winning the first game 12-1 and the second 4-2 and now stand at 20-3 overall.

Kalvin Eisenach got the win in the first game and Schiller Murphy won his second consecutive start picking up the win in the second game.

The Troops play in single nine inning conference game tonight at 5:00 in Gillette and will be back in action at Thorne-rider stadium Monday night when they host Helena, Montana in a single game starting at 7:00.
