LADY BRONC VOLLEYBALL FALLS / SHS TENNIS SPLIT CONFERENCE OPENERS

LADY BRONC VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan Lady Bronc volleyball team dropped a conference match at home Tuesday night to Gillette the Camels took the match 3-0. Lady Broncs Head coach Wendy Ruby says they had a tough night.

And she says they have a ways to go to find that good team chemistry.

This weekend they'll get right back on the court and have several matches to play at a big invitational in Gillette.

Weekend Results From Buffalo, Kaycee High School Teams

Last weekend, Buffalo and Kaycee high school teams had a busy, and mostly successful, weekend.

The Bison Golf team was in Rawlins, where the boys finished 10th of 13 teams, while the girls team did not finish in the top 10. No individual players finished in the top 10 at the tournament either.

The Lady Bison volleyball team was at the Douglas Invite and split their matches there, beating Powell 2-1 and dropping a match with Torrington 2-0.

Big Horn Polo Club results

There were two tournament finals played on Sunday August 26, at the BHEC -

1:00 The Adler Welding & Fabrication Cup; and at 3:00 the CHAPS Benefit Cup sponsored by Morton Buildings.

In the Adler Welding Cup, Pony Bar & Grill defeated Big Horn Beverage, 7-3.

MVP, sponsored as always by Kiwi Katering, was Kirby Taylor of Pony Bar & Grill.

Best Playing Pony was "Camille", owned and played by Wayne Garrison.

FULL LOCAL FOOTBALL SEASON OPENS FRIDAY / VOLLEYBALL ACTION TONIGHT

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams beat Thermopolis 27-7 last Friday in their preseason scrimmage game and this Friday they play for real at Greybull

Head coach Micheal McGuire says the Rams looked good against the Bobcats.

And he says getting the players in the film room this week will make them so much better in this week's
game.

Greybull won their scrimmage last week and McGuire says this will be a good non-conference opener for the Rams.

BRONCS WIN FOOTBALL OPENER / EAGLES AND RAMS WIN ZERO WEEK SCRIMMAGES

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Bronc football pulled out a 33-28 come from behind victory at Cheyenne Central Friday night.

The broncs were down 21-10 at halftime and 28-17 in the second half before a great 4th quarter run put them in over the top.

Head coach Don Julian says they struggled with Central in the first half but made the halftime adjustments and got it done.

BRONCS COME FROM BEHIND TO WIN FOOTBALL OPENER

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football came from behind to beat Cheyenne Central Friday night 33-28 in the class 4-A football season opener in Cheyenne.

Central took a 14-0 lead midway through the 2nd quarter before the Broncs got on the board with a 56 yard TD run from Nate Kane.

Central would score again and Sheridan kicker Gunner Edeen kicked a 47 yard field goal with under a minute to play in the half as Central took a 21-10 lead at the half.

The broncs scored 1st in the third quarter on a 5 yard run by Daniel Sessions but Central upped the lead to 28-17 with 9:14 to play.
