Bronc basketball looking to make big strides in 2013-14

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The first weekend of basketball games for the Broncs and Lady Broncs will be December 6th and 7th they host a double header with Green River.

Today we hear from Broncs Head coach Gale Smith, he says the Broncs are coming off a good off season and are looking forward to getting the season started in a couple of weeks.

They missed the state tournament in March and Smith says the team is using last year's shortfall as motivation coming into this season.

Bronc / Lady Bronc basketball to host meet the players night for the community

The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball coaches are putting on a meet the players night.

On Monday Nov. 25th 6pm at SHS Gym join the Broncs and Lady Broncs for the Basketball Season kick-off event.

The night will include a slam dunk contest, a three point showdown, a children's free throw contest, and a showcase of all the boys and girls basketball teams. The evening will conclude with an epic event between the Mom's of the girls program taking on the Mom's of the guy's program. You won't want to miss this.

Bronc wrestlers hit the mat / 2013-14 Hoop season now in full swing

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers open the new season December 6th at a tournament in Powell yesterday was day two in the wrestling room for the Broncs.

Tyson Shatto enters his second season at the Bronc's Head coach and says the turn out this week has been good and he's pleased with the numbers in the wresting room.

They have a couple of weeks to prepare for their first competition, Shatto says they have a lot of tough work to get done before that tournament.

The Sheridan Swish basketball team took first place in the 4th grade division at the Power-to-Play tournament in Casper over the weekend.

Sheridan college hoops on the road this week / Cowboys win / Winter Sports underway

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams play on the road this week. The Lady Generals picked up two more victories over the weekend and sit at 7-1 over all Head coach Frank McCarthy.

They play two games at a tournament at North Idaho community college this week and McCarthy says the competition will be tough which is just what the Lady Generals need right now.

Rams Dominate MV for 2-A football title/ Generals win / Cowgirls take home opener

Christian Mayer scored five times for Big Horn in their 47-22 state title game victory over Mountain View Friday afternoon.

The Sheridan college Generals won 80-59 Friday night against a Colorado all-star team to go 6-0 on the season.

The Lady generals play tonight at 5:00 and the Generals at 7:00 as they finish up the second day of a tournament at the Hoffman dome.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls overcame a shaky start and beat Montana state in their home opener 72-62.

Kayla Woodward had 17 points and 15 rebounds, Fallon Lewis had 15 points and 11 boards.

Rams Dominate in Championship Game

The Big Horn Rams football team won the class 2A state championship Friday, defeating Mountain View 47-22. The win gives Big Horn their fourth state championship. Mountain View jumped out to a 6-0 lead after opening the game with an 80 yard drive that took nearly the entire first quarter off of the clock.
