Troopers Look Tough Over the Weekend / Rockies get a Walkoff win / 2016 WYO Rodeo Week is Two Weeks Out

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers went 4-2 on the weekend as they played games in Billings and Powell.

They started the trip splitting two losing 6-5 against the Billings Scarlets and beating Castle Rock, Colorado 6-5.

They traveled Saturday and played two in Powell winning both by scores of 10-5 and 23-0 then it was back to Billings Sunday for two more which they also split dropping at 7-5 decision to a team from Las Vegas and finishing up the weekend beating a team from Pocatello, Idaho 6-3.

The Sheridan Troopers swept a road double header at Powell by scores of 10-5 ans 23-0.

The Troops close out the Weekend at a tournament in Billings this evening.

Troopers Split Two in Billings to Start the Weekend

The Sheridan Troopers lost the opener of s tournament in Billings, Montana Friday 6-5 to the Billings Scarlets but came back for a 6-5 victory against a team from Castle Rock, Colorado.

They continue their road trip today with a double header in Powell and will go back to Billings to finish up the weekend Sunday.

Troopers Drop Two at Home / Jets Host Casper Tonight / Rockies Fall at the Yankees

TROOPERS - The Sheridan Troopers dropped both ends of a double header against a team from Columbia Basin, Washington it ended up being a long day for a tired group of players they dropped the first game 11-1 and the second game got away from them late and they fell 17-7.

They played 10 games in nine days total and Head coach Ben Phillips says that schedule finally caught up with them.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers swept Tuesday night's double header with the Casper Oilers the Troops took the first game by building a 10-3 lead going into the ninth inning Casper scored four in the ninth to make it interesting but the Troops picked up their 21st victory of the season 10-7.

The second game was a slugfest with the Troopers coming out on top 16-13 to run their record to 22-13 overall.

Noah Gustufson pitched well keeping the Casper bats in check while the Troopers built their lead, here's Head coach Ben Phillips.

This year at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) Sheridan College was represented in the Bull riding by Dayton Johnston from Milk River, Alberta, in the Saddle bronc riding Tayte Clark Meadow, South Dakota and in the Breakaway roping Callie Robinson from Moorcroft, Wyoming.

Callie Robinson had a tough go competing at her first CNFR. She was unable to get any of her calves roped, but she learned a lot and knows what it takes to get back there this next year.

Troopers Host Casper at Thorne--Rider Tonight / Rockies at Yankees / Bronc Football and a Culture of Winning

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers get right back on the field today two days after wrapping up an eight game road trip.

They host a double header with the Casper Oilers we will broadcast the first game live this evening at 4:00 on KWYO the double header is scheduled for two nine inning games.

Tomorrow they will host and early afternoon double header with Columbia Basin, Washington we will have the first game live as well on KWYO starting at noon.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets have a double header in Casper tomorrow then a return double header at home with Casper Thursday.
