Buffalo, Kaycee Winter Sports Seasons Start This Weekend

Buffalo and Kaycee High School's winter sports seasons get underway this week with most teams in action.

The Bison will take their preseason No. 5 ranking into this weekend's games as BHS hosts the Boys' East/West Classic Basketball Tournament Friday and Saturday while the girls will travel to Cody for the girls' East/West Tournament.

WINTER SPORTS SEASON STARTS FRIDAY / UW HOOPS SPLIT ON THE ROAD

HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams open the season Friday at home playing with Green River. The girls varsity game will tip at 5:45 and the boys follow at 7:30 we will have both games live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

Lady Broncs coach Sean Yeager says they are looking forward to getting started Friday.

Broncs Head coach Gale Smith says they players have put in the hard work the last three weeks and are ready to see an opponent Friday.

The Broncs will have a whole new look this year from the coaches to the players first year Head coach Gale Smith says the transition from coaches to players has gone smooth and the last couple of weeks have been very productive.

The Lady Broncs return a strong group from last season and Head coach Sean Yeager says it's game week and all their attention is on Friday night.

If you are new to Wyoming USA wrestling, please bring a COPY of your wrestler's birth certificate to registrations. The club will retain a copy of it for the club's files.

SC BASKETBALL / WYOMING HOOPS / BRONCS WIN 6TH STRAIGHT

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Lady Generals split two games over the weekend they beat the College of Great Falls Friday and lost 70-68 against the number two ranked team in the country North Idaho Saturday night.

Head coach Frank McCarthy was pleased with the effort in the game Saturday.

And he says playing the best teams in the country this time of year is good for the players as they move ahead with their season.
