BRONC FOOTBALL - Wyoming 4-A high school football teams opened preseason practice yesterday and the Sheridan Broncs went through two sessions, Head coach Don Julian.

And Julian says with the season opener coming up on the 30th they have a lot to get in over the next couple of weeks and the players got off to a good start Monday.

The Big Horn, Tongue River and NSI football teams and the rest of of our fall sports all begin preseason practice a week from today.

FALL HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS - The Sheridan Broncs open 2013 football camp today Head coach Don Julian.

The Broncs open their season on the road at Laramie on August 30th.

The Big Horn, Tongue River and NSI football teams and the rest of of our fall sports all begin Preseason practice a week from today.

ADULT SUMMER SOFTBALL - The Sheridan Recreation district closes out it's adult summer softball leagues tonight with championship night in the Men's league.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs will host their player / parent meeting tomorrow at 4:00 in the Sheridan high school auditorium all players freshmen through seniors and their parents are asked to attend Head coach Don Julian.

TROOPERS MAKE ALL-STATE / FALL SPORTS/ SRD PROGRAMMING

TROOPER BASEBALL - Two Sheridan Troopers earn post season all state awards. Following their third place finish at the recently complete "AA" state American Legion baseball tournament two troopers made the "AA" all-state team.

Pitcher/outfielder Drew Adrieans made the first team and shortstop Connor McCafferty made the second team.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies open a series at the New York Mets tonight. We will have the game live for you on 87.7 FM ESPN radio. Rockies on deck will start at 4:30 with the first pitch at 5:10.

TROOPERS SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE / LOOKING AHEAD TO THE FALL SPORTS SEASON

The Sheridan Troopers made a pretty good run at the state "AA" American Legion baseball tournament as they made the final three. The Troops were knocked out of the tournament by Cheyenne Post 6 on Saturday.

Post 6 and Casper played their championship game yesterday with Post 6 coming out on top 4-3. That's 12 state tiles for Post 6 out of the last 13 and the last five in a row. Gillette is the only other team during that time to win the Wyoming state title.
