Troopers split in Cody (take this week off) / WYO Rodeo week begins / Rockies fall to the Dodgers at home

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers split a double header in Cody Sunday, they are off until they play at home a week from today against Laramie that is scheduled as a single nine inning game at noon.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers took both games of their double header in Douglas last night, they took the first game 12-5 and won the second game 13-3.

They will play at Cody Sunday then a week off until they play at home on Monday the 14th against Laramie that is schedule as a single nine inning game at noon. That will be our next live broadcast of Trooper baseball we will have it live for you on 14-10 KWYO.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are coming off a 12 inning loss Monday at home and now head out on the road for a double header in Douglas tonight.

They expect a tough double header against the Cats today they beat Douglas twice a few weeks ago at Thorne-Rider stadium and will try to turn the trick again tonight on the road Head coach Ben Phillips.

The Troops will play at Cody Sunday then a week off until they play at home on Monday the 14th against Laramie that is schedule as a single nine inning game at noon.

Sheridan College names Eric Frey as head assistant volleyball coach

Eric Frey is no stranger to Sheridan, Wyoming or Sheridan College. Graduating from Sheridan High School in 1988, Eric started playing beach volleyball in the summer of 1988. Eric has spent the last ten seasons as the assistant volleyball coach at Sheridan High School.

While at Sheridan High School, Frey helped lead the Broncs to a state championship in 2011. “I have coached for 10 seasons at Sheridan High School from 2004 to 2014 and I am looking forward to the opportunity to help Sheridan Colleges Athletic Department and the Volleyball program.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers lost a marathon game Monday at home against Jackson as they let a late lead slip away and Jackson won the game that went 12 innings.

Jackson took and early 4-0 lead but the Troopers put up seven runs in the 6th inning and took a three run lead into the ninth inning when the wheels came off allowing three Jackson runs to force extra innings.

The Giants score one run in the top of the 12th inning, the Troops couldn't answer and fell 8-7.

TROOPER BASEBALL - After a few days off the Sheridan Troopers get back into action this afternoon. they will play a single nine inning game today with the Jackson Giants the first pitch this afternoon is at 1:00.

Head coach Ben Phillips says they have good history playing Jackson as he talks about today's opponent.

WYO RODEO - Sheridan WYO rodeo week opens this coming weekend, Saturday will be the WYO royalty pageant and horsemanship contest.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers had a great opening day of camp Thursday, Trooper camp will end tomorrow. Head coach Ben Phillips says they had a great turnout.

And he says it's good for the Trooper players to be out on the field helping out the younger ones learn more about the game.

The Troops are coming off a double header loss at Casper, Phillips says they played tough but came up short in both games.
