BRONCS SET TO DEFEND STATE SOCCER TITLE

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams open their season playing matches with Riverton tomorrow.

The Broncs will play at Riverton the Lady Broncs host the Wolverines the JV's play at 4:00 the varsity 6:00.

Saturday the Lady Broncs play at a Jamboree in Cody the Broncs will play in Worland.

Broncs Head coach Kevin Riser says they are excited to begin the season but will not be at full strength for a few games.

They start the season as the defending state champs and must be ready for each challenge in each match.

and with the core of the team returning this spring he expects the broncs to be tough again. And numbers out for Bronc soccer this spring remain strong.

Next week conference play begins with matches against Cheyenne South and Laramie. The Broncs will play at home with the Lady Broncs on the road.

TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams open their season Saturday at the Natrona county "Earlybird invitational.

The Tongue River track teams are also scheduled to compete in Casper Saturday.

BASEBALL - Sheridan American Legion baseball will hold their preseason player / parent meeting next Wednesday at 6:00 at Sheridan high school. All Jets and Trooper players and their parents are asked to attend.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - Four Sheridan high school basketball players made the 4-A all-state list for this past season named to the girls team are Lady Broncs Hailey Ligocki and Steph Sessions and for the Broncs Riley Ryan and Hunter Reece.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys opened the College Basketball Invitational or "CBI" tournament last night. The Pokes eliminated the North Dakota state 78-75 led by Leonard Washington with 22 points and 11 rebounds.

Next up for the Cowboys a game Monday night at Washington state. We will broadcast the game live on KWYO and 95.9 FM pregame at 7:30 and the tip at 8:00.
