LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams open the state championships at the Big Horn Equestrian center Thursday the Lady Broncs play Riverton at 2:30 the Broncs play Riverton at 4:30.
The Lady Broncs have been a great story this year as the 2012 senior class has led them from winning no games in the 2010 season as sophomores to nine wins in 2011 but no state tournament appearance.
This spring they won the regular season conference title and the regional tournament title and take the number one ranking into this week's state tournament.
Head coach Tom Racette says it's been an amazing turnaround for the program.
And Racette says it wasn't easy and the girls have put in the practice time to get themselves into this position.
Seniors Rickie Ryan and Noelle Golinvaux make the team go but Racette says the entire squad has a piece of every victory this season.
BRONC SOCCER - The Broncs will enter the state tournament as the number one ranked team in 4-A in 2010 they lost in the title game last spring they won it all and are back to defend this year.
Offense makes the headlines and the Broncs have scored a lot of goals this year including six goals last weekend in the two games in the regional tournament but the defense has been just as dominating this spring.
They posted two shut outs in those victories as well last weekend, Bronc Goal Keeper Cole Smith says the defense has been huge all season.
Both games will be play on field #4 which is the flied located the furthest from the club house at the Equestrian Center.
BISON AND LADY BISON STATE SOCCER - The Buffalo Bison and Lady Bison will also play back to back in the 3-A bracket Thursday their games will be on field #1.
The Lady Bison will play at 2:00 against Torrington and the Bison play Cody at 4:00.
STATE TRACK AND FIELD - All of our Sheridan county qualifiers will be at the state track and field championships beginning Thursday at Kelly Walsh high school in Casper.
NSI, Arvava/Clearmont, Big Horn, Tongue River and Sheridan will all be represented at the meet.
TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 3-0 and will get back into action this weekend with double headers Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday they host two with Gillette starting at 1:00 and Sunday we will be back on the air with more Trooper baseball as they host two with Miles City, Montana. Broadcast time will be at 1:00 Sunday live on 14-10 KWYO.
ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost 3-2 last night at San Francisco they play again tonight. you can hear the game live on Sports / Talk 87.7 FM broadcast time is set for 7:30.
