BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs pulled off an 18-17 upset over previous number one and unbeaten Casper Natrona Friday night in a thriller at Homer Scott stadium Head Coach Don Julian.

The Broncs were down 17-10 with 3:32 to play following a Mustangs field goal then Natrona kicked away to the Broncs and senior Alex Welch did the rest.

The return officially went for 89 yards which was the fifth kickoff return of the season for a touchdown by the broncs and the second for Welch.

That made the score 17-16 NC then the Broncs went for the win instead of the tie Dan Zemski hit Taylor Craft with a pass to give the Broncs the two point conversion and put them up 18-17,Julian talks about the decision to go for the victory instead of the tie.

Raith Durham intercepted a Natrona pass with a minute to play to preserve the victory, Julian says everyone should have enjoyed a great high school football game.

The Broncs now head into the post season and will host a quarterfinal playoff game Friday night against Casper Kelly Walsh.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams beat Newcastle 35-13 Friday to go 8-0 in the regular season. The Rams played on their new turf field for the first time and struggled a bit before hitting their stride in the second half to put Newcastle away Head coach Bert Dow.

Now it's onto the playoffs where the Rams will host a quarterfinal game with Big Piney Friday.

The Buffalo Bison pounded Rawlins 68-0 Friday the Bison now open the 3-A playoffs at home Friday night against Lander.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles closed out their season at Thermopolis the Bobcats beat the Eagles 42-17 the Eagles finish the season at 2-6.

WOLVES FOOTBALL - The NSI Wolves lost 51-0 at Sundance Friday to end their season 1-6 overall.

UW FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys lost 25-20 at BYU Saturday this weekend the Pokes host San Diego state.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos got rolled by the Oakland Raiders yesterday 59-14 this week the 2-5 Broncos try and rebound with a road game at 1-6 San Francisco.

BRONC AND LADY BRONC X-COUNTRY - The Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country teams ran at the state cross country championships in Douglas Saturday.

The Broncs finished 3rd with top finisher Dylan Morin reaching all-state status with a 3rd place finish Brendon Byron was next in 16th place.

The Lady Broncs finished 7th Maddy MCclure was 23rd and Lauren Buyan was 29th.

LADY RAMS VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams volleyball team finished second at the East regional and will open the state tournament Thursday afternoon at 4:30 against Lovell at the Casper Events Center.

LADY EAGLES VOLLEYBALL - The Tongue River Lady Eagles were eliminated from the tournament Saturday morning.

LADY BRONC VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan Lady Bronc volleyball team made a great run at their regional in Casper including a victory over the state's top team Casper Kelly Walsh. The Lady Broncs finished second overall and will play Star Valley in the opening round of the state tournament in Casper Thursday at 4:30.

LADY BRONC SWIMMING AND DIVING - The Sheridan Lady Bronc swimmers and divers will compete in the state swimming and diving championships in Gillette this week. The 4-A Prelims begin Thursday afternoon.
