Bronc coaches honor Head coach Don Julian

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team held their annual football banquet last night at Sheridan high school.

Post season recognition and lots of celebrating was done last night we had a chance to talk with a couple of the Bronc seniors who made huge contributions to their state title run.

Jordan Roberts made all-state, super 25 was also named the 4-A offensive player of the year and early yesterday it was also announced that Roberts has been named Wyoming's national Gatorade player of the year.

Bison Boys' Begin Defense of State Basketball Title

The Buffalo Bison boys' basketball team took the 3A State Championship last year, and will begin defending that title this weekend at the East/West Tournament in Cody.
Bison Head Coach John Hepp said he has talent on this year's team but expects things will be different, due to a number of talented athletes lost to graduation last year.
Hepp said he has a number of kids he expects to see good seasons from this year.

BRONC FOOTBALL - POST SEASON BANQUET TONIGHT

SHERIDAN BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team, coaches and parents will get together tonight to celebrate the 2011 state 4-A football championship as they hold their annual football banquet.

In the last five season's since Don Julian took over the program the Broncs have a record of 44-11, since making the semi finals in 2008 the Broncs are 39-7 and in the last three years they've won two 4-A championships in 2009 and 2011 that stretch includes a runner up finish in 2010 the Broncs are and amazing 31-5 over that stretch.

BRONCS / LADY BRONCS OPEN THE BASKETBALL SEASON FRIDAY NIGHT

Broncs / Lady Broncs open 2011-12 Fridaqy night

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams open their season hosting games with Green River Friday night. Both games will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM the Lady Broncs play at 5:45 and the Broncs at 7:30

Last year the Broncs went 19-8 and made it to the state tournament the Lady Broncs went 22-5 and lost in the state title game in overtime to Gillette.

Jo Co Athletes Back In Action This Week

Buffalo and Kaycee High School boys' and girls' basketball, boys' wrestling and boys swim teams will get their seasons started this weekend.
The BHS boys' basketball team will be at the East/West Tournament hosted by Cody on Friday and Saturday.
The Buffalo Lady Bison basketball team will host the East/West Tournament at Buffalo High School also Friday and Saturday.
The Bison wrestlers will be at the Billings Invite in Billings, Montana Friday and Saturday to kick off their season, and the team will be home to host Douglas on December 5th.
Kaycee Buckaroo and Lady Buc basketball will get underway this weekend as well.

BRONC SWIMMERS AND DIVERS HIT THE WATER

BRONC SWIMMING / DIVING - The Sheridan Bronc swimmers got into the pool Monday night to begin the first day of the 2011-12 season and it was a disappointing first day for new Head coach Brent Moore as only three swimmers and two divers showed up on day one.

There is still plenty of time this week for any freshmen through seniors to come out and begin practice.

Winter Sports Begins This Week For Jo Co Schools

Buffalo and Kaycee High School athletes will begin play in winter sports this week as the basketball, wrestling and boys swim teams compete this weekend.
The BHS boys' basketball team will start their season Friday and Saturday at the East/West Tournament hosted by Cody.
The BHS girls' team will host the East/West Tournament Friday and Saturday at Buffalo High School.
Both the boys' and girls' freshman teams will play at Twin Spruce in Gillette on Saturday.
