BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc soccer team is the East regional tournament champion after beating Laramie in the regional title game Saturday 1-0. Bronc senior Zach Will scored the game winning goal in the 78th minute.

The Broncs will have a number one seed in the state tournament which begins Thursday at the Big Horn Equestrian center.

The Broncs will play Rock Springs in their first round match at 11:30 Thursday morning.

EAST REGIONAL TRACK AND FIELD - The East regional track meet went well as several Sheridan county athletes won events over the weekend at Homer Scott stadium.

In the team races the Arvada/Clearmont girls were 3rd and NSI was 6th the NSI boys were 3rd in the
1-A regional.

In the 2-A regional both Tongue River teams finished 2nd the Big Horn Rams were 5th and the Lady Rams were 7th.

The the 4-A regional both the Broncs and Lady Broncs placed 5th overall.

Individual champions from the Lady Panthers of Arvada / Clearmont were Shayna Kretschman winning the 100 meters and long jump and Bailey Roebling winning the 400 meters and triple jump.

Cameal Garrison from NSI took first in the girls 1-A 300 meter hurdles.

In the 2-A regional for the Tongue River Eagles Taylor Heaps won three events with first place finishes in the 200, 400 and 800 meters, Alex Sami took the shot put and for the Lady Eagles Hunter Vineyard took the high jump title.

The highlight of the regional for the Big Horn Rams was the performance of senior Wyatt Mirich winning three events with first place medals in the 300 meter hurdles, high jump and long jump.

Mirich just missed out in winning four events with a second place finish in the 110 meter hurdles.

Sheridan high school Head coach Art Bauers says the Bronc and Lady Bronc 5th place finishes made for a good weekend for both teams.

A total of 24 athletes will represent Sheridan high school at the state meet which gets underway Thursday morning in Capser.

Tongue River Head track coach Chuck Walters says they got off to a good start Friday and kept the momentum going into Saturday.

Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says the meet went great.

Now Julian says they begin preparations for the state high school soccer championships which begin Thursday at the Big Horn Equestrian Center.

He says the Wyoming High School Activities Association loves to have this state tournament at the Equestrian Center.

BRONC / LADY BRONC GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers begin play today at their spring season ending conference tournament in Cheyenne.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers played two on the road Saturday in Casper they swept the double header from the Oilers taking game one 11-4 and winning the second game 4-2.

The Troops are now 5-1 on the season and will host a double header with the Billings Blue Jays Saturday afternoon the first game is scheduled to start at 1:00.
