WYO Rodeo continues / Rockies beat Atlanta / Troopers alumni play tomorrow / Jets have a DH at home Sunday

WYO RODEO - The second performance of the Sheridan WYO rodeo is in the books in the Bareback riding Clint Laye had the best ride of the night with a score of 84, Dalton Davis scored 83 in the Saddle Bronc riding and in the Bull riding Dallee Mason scored 88.

Baylor Roche took the Steer wrestling in a time of 5.0, 21 time world champion Trevor Brazile was fastest of the steer ropers at 13.6 and in the Tie Down roping Bart Brunson and Caleb Smidt tied for the fastest run at 9.6.

2015 WYO RODEO - The first performance of the Sheridan WYO rodeo was a good one with scores over 80 from all the leaders in the rough stock events.

In the Bareback riding Tanner Aus has the lead with an 85, Allen Boore scored 84 in the Saddle bronc riding and Shane Proctor brought the house down in the Bull riding with a score of 89.

Beau Clark took the Steer wrestling in a time of 5.3, Vin Fischer Jr. was fastest of the steer ropers at 11.2, Hank Hollenback and Reese Reimer had 11.5 in the Tie down roping.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers have the rest of the week off, they will host their traditional alumni game Saturday at noon. Next regular season games will be next Wednesday at home with Casper.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets will play a home double header Sunday afternoon against the Billings Boltz, the first game will start at 1:00.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost 10-2 to the LA Angels Tuesday night you can hear the second game of the series tonight live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio broadcast time is 6:05.

Troopers split with Cody / Rockies v Angels / WYO Rodeo action begins today at the Fairgrounds

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers finally got to play in front of the home fans Monday night at Thorne-Rider stadium and they split the double header with Cody.

Blake Godwin picked up the win in the first game as the Troops built up a 6-0 lead and went onto win 6-4.

They fell back to .500 on the season after the second game falling 10-0 committing five errors in the loss to fall back to 13-13 overall.

Head coach Ben Phillips says it was so nice for the players to get to play on their home field.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers went 3-2 at a tournament in Cheyenne play wrapped up yesterday with a Trooper victory.

They lost the opener to Cheyenne post 6 Thursday 8-2, they beat Lubbock, Texas Friday 14-4. They split two Saturday the beat Colorado Catalyst 4-1 and lost to the Colorado Bandits 11-1 and closed out the event yesterday beating the Cheyenne Hawks 12-6.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers dropped their opening game at a tournament in Cheyenne Thursday dropping and 8-2 decision to Cheyenne Post 6.

Play continues this afternoon with a game against a team from Lubbock , Texas, Head coach Ben Phillips' mantra all season long has been getting quality starts on the mound.

Tomorrow they will play two games with teams from Denver and will close out the weekend with one game Sunday.

The Troops play at home Monday when they host a double header with Cody the first game will start at 5:00.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers head to Cheyenne for a tournament play begins this afternoon with the host team, they play a team from Texas tomorrow and two with teams from Denver Saturday the tournament closes out Sunday

Head coach Ben Phillips says the big focus this week was at the plate trying to get more aggressive and find find some power.

Pitching will be a big key in all five games in Cheyenne Phillips says lack of experience has hurt them at times this season.

They head to Cheyenne for a tournament play begins tomorrow afternoon with the host team Post 6, they play a team from Lubbock, Texas Friday. Saturday they play two teams from Colorado and close out the tournament with games Sunday.
