Bronc soccer eliminated from regional tourney / Lady Broncs in the semi's tonight / Troopers have four on the road this weekend

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc soccer team was eliminated from the 4-A East regional tournament Thursday evening with a 2-1 loss vs Cheyenne East.

The Lady Broncs play in the semi finals this afternoon at 3:30 against Cheyenne East.

The Lady Broncs and T-Birds split their conference games this spring winning on each others home field, East beat the Lady Broncs 2-0 and the Lady Broncs returned the favor winning in Cheyenne 1-0.

Lady Broncs Head coach Mallery Marshall says they must match the T-Birds physical style of play.

TRACK AND FIELD REGIONALS - High school track and field regional meets start today at five sites around the state , the 4-A East will be in Cheyenne at South high school , the 1-A and 2-A East regional is in Torrington.

The all class Wyoming state track and field championships start next Thursday at Kelly Walsh high school in Casper.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are schedule to play two road double headers this weekend at Rapid City Post #320 tomorrow and two in Powell Sunday.

Troopers Head coach Ben Phillips says they've only played two games and the players just need game reps right now to get the season rolling.

And he says they will get a good test from both opponents this weekend. The next home date will be May 29th in a double header with Douglas.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies open a six game home stand tonight hosting the opening game of a three game weekend series with San Diego.

The first pitch tonight will be tossed out at 6:40 on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.
