BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team leaders and coaches will be heading up into the Big Horns today for their annual two day mountain retreat.
Head coach Don Julian says the retreat helps set the tone for the coming season with the players that will lead this year's addition of Bronc football.
They come down Friday evening and get ready for Sunday's player / parent meeting at 4:00 at the high school.
The players run most of that meeting as Julian says it gives them ownership in their own program and successes.
The first day of two a day practice opens Monday morning and Julian says the foundation has been set with off season workouts as the prepare for the season opener
The Broncs open the season at home against Cheyenne Central that game will have an early start time at 6:00.
RAMS / EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams had their football camp last week and this week Tongue River Head coach Chuck Walters had their Eagles camp.
The Rams and Eagles along with the NSI football program will all open their two a day camps on Monday, August 15th.
LADY BRONC VOLLEYBALL CAMP - Sheridan high school volleyball coach Wendi Ruby has announced the Lady Broncs will host their one-day youth volleyball camp August 20th
This youth one day camp will include instruction with the Lady Bronc team.
The camp will be held at Sheridan high school August 20th, registration is being taken at the Sheridan county YMCA. the cost to pre register for the camp is 20 dollars or 25 dollars the day of the camp.
AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - Cheyenne Post 6 is representing Wyoming in Billings for the start of the American legion northwest regional baseball tournament. Post 6 opens this afternoon against Bellingham, Washington at 12:30.
