BRONC FOOTBALL CAMP OPENS / TROOPER BASEBALL / ROCKIES OPEN 2ND HALF TOMORROW

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football youth football camp opened last night at Homer Scott stadium.

Broncs Head coach Don Julian says it's important for the program to have outreach to the communities young kids interested in playing football no matter their grade or age.

The camp this week also includes evening sessions for high school players the week will culminate with a day of scrimmages on Saturday and the public is invited to attend the sessions Saturday.

The Broncs open fall camp Monday, August 12th with the season opener on the road this year in Laramie on the final Friday of August.

Julian also reminds all athletes in Sheridan county from Little Guy football players through high school athletes now is the time to get sports physicals completed. Athletes need them completed before they will be allowed to practice with their teams.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are off until they play a double header in Laramie Monday, then back to back conference games in Cheyenne Tuesday and back home to face Casper next Wednesday.

The game with the Oilers is the final home game of the season for the Troops and will be our next live broadcast. The game will be played next Wednesday first pitch will be at 6:00 it's scheduled as a single nine inning game and will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies open the 2nd half of the Major League baseball season tomorrow night at home. the Rockies are 46-50 overall and 4 and a half games back in the NL West.

They host a weekend series with the Chicago Cubs we will have game one live for you tomorrow night on 87.7 FM ESPN radio. Rockies on deck starts at 6:00 with the first pitch at 6:40.
