Sheridan Shooters win another tournament

The Sheridan Shooters 4th grade basketball team won first place at a tournament in Rapid City, South Dakota.

LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Lady Broncs will close out the regular season on the road at Cheyenne Central and East this week Head coach Derek Bissitt says the conference title is on the line.

The Lady Broncs are tied for the conference lead with Gillette if they both win two in Cheyenne this week the conference title will be decided by a tie breaker.

BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs gave Gillette a great run in the razor city but came up two points short as the Camels held off the Broncs 53-51.

Bison Weekend Sports Wrap

The Bison Wrestlers finished fifth at the 3A East Regional Tournament in Glenrock, but a number of individuals will move on to the State Tournament next week in Casper.
Douglas took first at Regionals, followed by Torrington, Wheatland, Newcastle, Buffalo, Rawlins, Glenrock, Thermopolis and Cheyenne East.

BRONC WRESTLING - Eight Sheridan Bronc wrestlers made today's semi-finals at the 4-A East Regional tournament in Cheyenne.

The All-class state championships start next Friday at the Casper Events Center.

The Buffalo Bison will be moving one step closer to wrapping their winter sports seasons as they compete and ready themselves for their conference and state tournaments.

LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Lady Broncs have lost two in a row after losing to Gillette 74-59 at Sheridan high school last night.

They led 16-15 after the first quarter, Gillette took a three point halftime lead then blew the game open scoring 28 points in the third quarter Lady Broncs Head coach Derek Bissitt.

The Lady Broncs missed Steph Sessions last night the two year starter was in street clothes last night with injury.

SHERIDAN / GILLETTE II TONIGHT

LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Lady Broncs have Gillette at home tonight. The Lady Broncs are 18-1 still ranked number one in 4-A after suffering their first loss of the season in Laramie last week.

They lead the conference race by one game over the Camels Head coach Derek Bissitt expects another good game with the Camels tonight.

Since the loss in Laramie last Saturday Bissitt says the players have responded well to the loss and are looking forward to getting back on the court.
