SC Rodeo

Marc Gilkerson was one happy rodeo coach on Friday.

Sheridan College’s head rodeo coach watched as the SC women’s and men’s rodeo teams practiced for the first time inside the college’s AgriPark, escaping the cold air.

“I’m excited. It’s kind of hard to believe it’s here,” said Gilkerson, in his seventh year helming the SC rodeo program. “The student-athletes love it. We put in a lot of time, a lot of work, on it.”

Under the director of Gilkerson, the SC men’s rodeo team finished fourth at the 2014 College National Finals Rodeo.
