SHERIDAN / GILLETTE IN THE 4-A FOOTBALL SEMI FINALS

SHERIDAN BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs host Gillette in one of the 4-A football semi final games Friday night at Homer Scott stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 we will broadcast it live for you on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

We'll get started with the first Federal Savings bank pregame show at 5:30 with Head coach Don Julian.

As the Broncs prepare to take on Gillette tomorrow night Julian says this is the next step in the progression of the bronc season.

GENERALS OPEN THE 2011-12 HOOP SEASON WITH A BIG HOME VICTORY

GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals opened the 2011-12 basketball regular season last night with an 84-63 win over Williston, North Dakota Head coach Steve Smiley.

They held the Tetons under 70 points Smiley says for the most part the defensive intensity was there all night.

And Smiley says the Sophomores did a good job of leading and their Freshmen group had their moments as well.

The Generals will play at a tournament in Gillette Friday and Saturday.

Lady Bison, Lady Bucs Named To All-Conference Teams

Volleyballers from Buffalo, Kaycee and Arvada-Clearmont have been named to their All-Conference Teams.
In Class 3A, Buffalo's Jenna Anderson was named to the 3A East All-Conference Team.
Kaycee's Megan Lund, Brekyn Hokanson, Chelsea Ullery and Becca Manning were named to the Class 1A Northeast All-Conference Team.
Arvada-Clearmont's Megan Gibbs and Bailey Roebling were also named to the 1A Northeast All-Conference Team.
Roebling was named the Conference Player of the Year, and Arvada-Clearmont's Frank Pratt was named Coach of the Year for the 1A Northeast Conference.

LADY BRONCS TAKE 4-A VOLLEYBALL TITLE / BRONC FOOTBALL ADVANCES / STATE SWIMMING

2011 4-A STATE VOLLEYBALL CHAMPS!!!

STATE VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan Lady Broncs ended the volleyball season as the 4-A state champs Saturday in Casper it's the first title for the lady bronc program since 1986.

They beat Laramie 3-1 to win the championship Head coach Wendy Ruby says they made a great run late in the season including winning the regional tournament.

And she says the Lady Broncs proved that small teams can win championships.

Bison Down Star Valley, Advance to Meet Douglas

The Buffalo Bison football team will advance to the semifinals in the 3A High School Football Playoffs after downing the Star Valley Braves 24-13 Friday night in Afton.
Buffalo jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the second quarter, 14 to 7 at the half and led by a score of 24-7 in the third quarter and held on for
the win.
The Bison will travel to take on Douglas on Friday in the semifinals.
In 1A 6-man football, Kaycee crushed Hanna/Elk Mountain 73-13 on Friday and will advance to take on Little Snake River this week.
Midwest will face Dubois in their semifinal game.

LADY BRONCS WIN 4-A VOLLEYBALL TITLE

The Sheridan Lady Broncs beat Laramie 3-1 to win the 4-A State title Saturday night in Casper.

The Big Horn Lady Rams played through the consolation bracket and beat Pine Bluffs in five games to take Third place in the 2-A bracket.

Wyoming Defeats San Diego State

Wyoming Cowboys defeat the San Diego State Aztecs 30 to 27.
