BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs enter day three of training camp today. With three weeks of practice before the first game Head coach Don Julian says they are looking to make sure they are sharp for the season opener in Casper on the 27th.

And they have the benefit of the extra week with school beginning on the 30th three days after the first game.

The Broncs play at Kelly Walsh on the 27th and play Cheyenne East in the home opener on September 3rd.


There were two games at the BHEC on Sunday August 8, 2010 at the Big Horn Equestrian Center. The Senior Center Cup sponsored by 1st National Bank of Sheridan was played at 12:00 noon, and the Connell Cup was at 3:00. The day was a benefit for the Senior Center.

Here are the results from the Senior Center Cup: Sheridan Seed Co. defeated Canyon Ranch by a score of 6-5. After a nasty spill in the 2nd period, Katie Connell came back and played well enough to merit MVP honors for the game.

2010 football is underway

SHERIDAN BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team started their first week of two a day work outs yesterday Head coach Don Julian liked what he saw on day one.

The Broncs begin the season with several players are back from last year and Julian says they have a lot of work ahead. Julian talks about the rest of this week and the following week.

The Broncs open at Kelly Walsh high school in Casper Friday August 27th.

SHS football coach Don Julian leads the Broncs into their football leadership camp this weekend

SHERIDAN BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football coaches along with a handful of team leaders will head up into the Big Horn mountains today for a two day leadership camp. Head coach Don Julian says is a tradition that gets the season started on a positive note.

The players and coaches will host a meeting with the football parents Sunday afternoon at Sheridan high school and Julian says it's the players that set the tone for the up coming season.

The Sheridan Rec District is gearing up for a busy fall season.

SHERIDAN REC DISTRICT SERIES - We've been talking and highlighting Sheridan Rec District Fall programs this week. One of the more popular fall programs over the past several years has been the Men's Flag Football League. Adult sports specialist Dale Boedecker says a league planning meeting is coming up soon.

Tuesday, August 3rd

Just a few weeks remain in the Kendrick Park pool season in Sheridan.

SHERIDAN REC DISTRICT - With fall sports getting started over the next few weeks, Kendrick Pool's days are limited and will close for the season in a few weeks.

Sheridan Recreation District sports specialists Nick Dore is in charge of Kendrick Pool this summer, and he says it's been a banner year for swimming hours at the pool. Dore says attendance for all their programs has gone way up this year.
