Sheridan Dominates Wrestling Meet With Buffalo

The Buffalo Bison Wrestlers hosted a dual with the Sheridan Broncs on Tuesday, and the Broncs dominated, winning the dual 59-12.
Individually, the Bison had two wins: at 106, Kyle Burton beat Braxton Cooper by pin, and at 126, Jon Land beat Derek Berretinni by pin.
The Bison will be at the Miles City, Montana Invite Friday and Saturday.
Also this week, The Bison boys and girls basketball teams will have games Friday and Saturday.
The Boys will host Rawlins on Friday, while the girls travel to Rawlins for their game.

SHERIDAN HAWKS HOCKEY

Local hockey this past weekend, the Sheridan Hawks Bantam team played Riverton, Sheridan won both games keeping them on top of the standings with a record so far of 7-2-1.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL TONIGHT

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams play at home tonight hosting games with Central Wyoming both games will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM.

The women's game will start at 5:30 and the men at 7:30.

The Lady Generals have won four in a row and stand at 2-0 in conference games as they take on the Rustlers tonight. Head coach Frank McCarthy says it should be a good match up tonight.

BIG WEEK IN LOCAL BASKETBALL

TONGUE RIVER HOOPS - The basketball teams at Tongue river high school are getting ready to host Big Horn Friday night Monday we made a visit to Dayton.

The Lady Eagles were ranked number two behind Lovell last week and dropped a one point overtime game to the Bulldogs Saturday.

Head coach Diane Moser says the Lady Eagles are playing well. And she says their strength right now is their defense and they need more work on getting some more scoring.

Bison Swimmers First at Douglas Invite

The Buffalo High School Boys' swim team took first place at the Douglas Invite last Friday.
First place finishes came from the 400 free relay team of Josh Cohoon, Josh Dillinger, Matt Scarlett and Nate Holt; and from Dillinger in the 400 free; Holt in the 100 back; and Justin Land in diving.
Second place finishes came from Holt in the 200IM; Cohoon in the 50 and 100 free; and the 200 medley relay team of Holt, Wyatt Zegstroo, Timothy Cohoon and Randy Olsen.

Bison Wrestlers Twelfth at Douglas' Shatto Memorial

The BHS wrestling team finished 12th of 21 teams at the Douglas Shane Shatto Memorial Tournament last weekend.
Jonathan Land, at 120 lbs, was the top finisher for the Bison, finishing 2nd at the tournament, winning four of his five matches.
Taylor Bell at 138, and Cody Sanburn at 170, each finished sixth in their weight classes.
At 106, Kyle Burton went 2-2 at the tournament; at 113, Jenna Elmlinger went 4-2; and at 160, Colter Manley went 1-2.
The Bison will host the Sheridan Broncs this afternoon, beginning at 6pm.

The Sheridan Broncs were 6th at the Douglas invitational Saturday and had two champions Derek Berrettini at 120 and Clay Carter at 132 Carter reamins unbeaten at 25 -0

2nd placers, Scott Hanify 145, Lucas Giesey 170

3rd placer Jackson Hanify 113

Broncs dual at Buffalo Tuesday night and compete at the "Cowboy" Invitational in Miles City, Montana this weekend.

WEEKEND FULL OF GREAT SPORTS ACTION

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams saw mixed results in Riverton over the weekend.

The Lady Broncs swept three wins to go 9-1 on the season beating Kelly Walsh, Riverton and Evanston.

The Lady Broncs will play at Billings Senior Friday night and at home against Natrona county Saturday.

The Broncs dropped two out of three beating KW then losing close games to Riverton and Evanston falling to 8-2 on the season after the final game Saturday Head coach Mike Ibach.
