UW punter is MWC co-special teams player of week

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming junior punter Austin McCoy has been selected as the Mountain West Conference co-special teams player of the week.

McCoy not only helped Wyoming control field position in a 20-15road win over the Toledo last Saturday, but he completed a 34-yard pass on a trick play to keep a scoring drive alive for the Cowboys.

McCoy punted eight times, placing two of his punts inside the
Toledo 10-yard line. Toledo had no yards on punt returns.
He is No. 16 in the nation and No. 2 in the conference in
punting average with 44.8 yards per punt.

Sheridan College Rodeo

Here are the Sheridan college results from the college rodeo in Lamar Colorado. Shane Stevens placed 5th in the 1st go round and 5th in the average in the Bareback riding.
Kacy Townsleay placed 7th in the long go I the bullriding and got bucked off in the short round.

Ty Hiatt was 10th in long go and scored 78 PTA in short-round in the Saddle bronc riding for 4th place in short and 5th in average.

Chelsey Kelly placed 4th in the short in breakaway roping 4th in average. Cory Albright got bucked off in the short in the bullriding.

STATE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Sheridan Lady Bronc tennis team finished 2nd in the state tournament behind Gillette.

In number one singles Noelle Golinvaux made it to the finals but had to settle being the runner up, in number two singles Rachel Wood fought her way back through the consolation bracket and finished as the consolation winner.

The number one doubles team of Haley King and Emily Berry lost in the semi finals and came back to win the consolation bracket

Big Horn wins big in bid for the number one 2-A ranking

Big Horn football and volleyball sweep homecoming competition

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams blew out Thermopolis Friday 42-7 in the anticipated number one against number two battle.

The rams will assume the number one position when the new rankings come out next Tuesday. Next week the Rams will play on the road at Moorcroft.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs bounced back fine after their first loss of the season. Friday night the Broncs shut out Laramie on the road 35-0.

Next week the Broncs host their homecoming game against Evanston.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles lost 33-13 at Wright Friday night.

The Bighorn Rams face Thermopolis Bobcats. The Bighorn Rams win 42-7.

STATE HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS - The Sheridan Lady Bronc tennis team sits in 2nd place after this first day the state tennis championships. They went 9-1 in matches yesterday.
