Planning ahead for 2014 hunting seasons / Full fall sports underway Monday / Broncos at 49ers Sunday

2014 WYOMING HUNTING SEASON - The 2014 Wyoming hunting season is set to open today with open day for antelope archery season and we continue our conversation with local Game Warden Bruce Scigliano.

Scigliano says a successful season starts with planning and checking gear well in advance of heading out into the field.

And he says when it comes to regulations when in doubt contact the department our a game and fish department official.

WYOMING BIG GAME HUNTING - The 2014 Wyoming hunting season is set to open tomorrow with opening day for antelope archery season.

Wyoming game and fish warden Bruce Scigliano says archery hunting for antelope isn't the most popular way to harvest the animals but it is very popular for that particular type of hunter.

And he reminds archery hunters to make sure they check regulations for additional archery rules.

Sheridan Rec District men's flag football

Registrations - July 21st -August 22nd. Late registrations will be accepted until August 28th. Registrations can now be signed-up online at www.sheridanrecreation.com or still sign up in person at 1579 Thorne Rider Park.

The Manager’s Meeting Wednesday August 13th at 6 PM at The Sheridan Junior High School.
Season will begin August 27th.
Games will be played on Sheridan High School Stadium.
Fees are $380 per team.

Bronc football / Rec district softball and flag football / Broncos at 49ers Sunday / Rockies fall on the road

BRONC FOOTBALL - The start Sheridan Bronc football season is 17 days out Head coach Don Julian says the broncs have a lot of work to do but the players have done a good job of being ready to begin practice this week and game planning for the opener with Laramie has already started.

The opener will kickoff at 6:00 Friday night the 29th we will broadcast all Bronc football live on 14-10 KWYO.

The First Federal savings bank pregame show will start all of our broadcasts and we will be on the air on the 29th at 5:30.

Local Football Officials needed

The Sheridan officials association is looking for individuals to officiate Jr.High and high school football this fall.

They will be having an organizational meeting Monday, August 18th at the old Highland Park School at 6pm.

They will help all officials get registered with the Wyoming High School Activities Association and provide all the training that they need

BRONC FOOTBALL - The football season got underway yesterday for the Sheridan Broncs as two a days began head coach Don Julian says the Broncs had a pretty good day.

He says the days can get long and hot but the players were very excited to get started.

The first game is 18 days away and Julian says things will start happening quick as they end the first week of practice on Saturday

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The football season begins today for the Sheridan Bronc football team as two a days get underway.

The team held their annual player / parent meeting Saturday evening a day after finishing up their two day mountain camp with the seniors, Head coach Don Julian says the mountain camp went well.

He says it was a good chance for the coaches to find out what kind of leadership they can expect from this year's senior class.
