The Sheridan college basketball teams sweep victories during the Sheridan Lions club tournament.

LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Lady Generals beat Rocky Mtn. college Friday and Little Big Horn Saturday to run their record to 7-3 overall Head coach Frank McCarthy.

And McCarthy was pleased with both victories and especially Saturday night's second half.

The Lady Generals will be on the road this week at a two day tournament at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.

Sheridan College Generals and Lady Generals both win at Tournament

The Sheridan College Generals rolled to an easy win Friday with a 124-57 shellacking of the Rams of Little Big Horn College. The Generals opened up their season with a convincing win over the Rams and had very little trouble putting the game away early Friday. Action will continue today at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome, as the annual Lions Club Tournament continues. The Generals will play Fort Carson this afternoon at 1 o'clock at Sheridan College Golden Dome.

SHERIDAN LIONS CLUB BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams will be the hosts for the annual Sheridan Lions club tournament games will be today and tomorrow at 1:00, 3:00, 5:00 and 7:00.

The Lady Generals will host Gillette, Little Big Horn and Fort Carson Academy Head coach Frank McCarthy says it's great to have a chance to play more games at home.

Sheridan high school could begin random drug testing of student-athletes as early as next fall.

SHS DRUG TESTING - Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian spoke with Sheridan media sports about random drug testing this week, we asked Julian first, why testing and why now.

Julian says the program will be another helpful tool for students at Sheridan high school.

If the program is implemented it wouldn't happen until next fall and would begin with athletics first with the possibility of expanding to include all students who participate in extra-curricular activities.

LIONS CLUB COLLEGE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT - The Sheridan college basketball teams will be the hosts for the annual Sheridan Lions club tournament games will be Friday and Saturday at 1:00, 3:00, 5:00 and 7:00.

The Lady generals are 5-3 overall and will host Gillette, Little Big Horn and Fort Carson Academy while the Generals are 5-0 and will host Northwest college, Little Big Horn and Rocky Mountain college.

POST SEASON FOOTBALL AWARDS ANNOUNCED

DAWSON OSBORN BRONC SUPER 25 AND 4-A DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

WYOMING SUPER 25 FOOTBALL TEAM - Five players from Sheridan county have landed on this year's Super 25 football team with three Sheridan Broncs and two Big Horn Rams making the 2010 team.

Named to the Super 25 this year's list includes senior All-state offensive and defensive lineman Kyle Hutchinson, All-state linebacker Dawson Osborn who was also named 4-A defensive player of the year along with Osborn and Hutchinson is Zack Will who made All-state as a wide out, defensive back and return specialist.
