Jets split season opening double header / Troopers open on the road Sunday / Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer rolling / "Gary Benson" Track classic tomorrow afternoon at Homer Scott stadium

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets opened the 2015 American Legion baseball season yesterday splitting a double header with Gillette.

The Jets took the first game 8-5 and lost the second game 9-2, Jets Head coach Ryan Murner says it was great to be able to start the season so early in the spring.

He says now they can get right back into practice and continue the progress through their training.

Bronc / Lady Bronc soccer schedule changes for the weekend

Due to a bad storm in Cheyenne, the Broncs and Lady Broncs will both play at home against Cheyenne Central and East tonight and tomorrow.

Girls varsity at 4
Boys varsity at 6

Saturday vs East
Boys varsity at 10
Girls varsity at 12

JV games will be played on the grass fields next to the stadium.

Big Horn Lady Rams basketball has a new Head coach / SHS Soccer in action tonight plus golf and tennis / Rockies play at the Dodgers

LADY RAMS HOOPS - The Big Horn Lady Rams basketball team will have a new Head coach next season it will be a familiar face taking over as Micheal McGuire steps into the coaching duties.

McGuire also is the Rams football coach and for the last two seasons has been am assistant coach with the girls basketball program and he says that is making for a smooth transition.

Moving ahead to next season McGuire will have almost every player back from this past season's team that made it to the state tournament.

Troopers / Jets prepare to open the baseball season / Soccer, Track, Golf and Tennis back in action Friday

TROOPERS / JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets will open their season Sunday the Troopers will open next weekend in Billings.

The Jets will play two with Gillette Sunday afternoon at Thorne-Rider stadium the first game is scheduled to start at 1:00.

Yesterday the players were inside as the snow fell and Head coach Ben Phillips says having an indoor facility really pays off when we have weather like we did yesterday.

The Sheridan Volleyball Club will be hosting our 2nd Annual Never Flinch Weston Johnson Memorial Invitational Volleyball Tournament this Saturday, April 18th.

Bronc / Lady Bronc soccer plays East and Central this week / Rockies win again by the Bay

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams play Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East this week the Broncs are at home while the girls travel.

The Broncs are rolling right now at 3-0 in conference play and coming off a weekend in the road with two more victories, East and Central come to town this week to face the Broncs and they know they will have to be even better this week.

The JV's play at 4:00 Friday the varsity goes at 6:00 and Saturday matches are set for 10:00 and noon.

Local track, soccer, golf and tennis / Rockies shut out San Francisco

TRACK AND FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams are coming off a good weekend of competition at a big meet in Billings, Head coach Art Bauers says the Lady Broncs had an especially good day.

They have another big meet Saturday when they travel to compete in the Track O Rama in Rapid City. Next week Sheridan high school will host two events, the Gary Benson invitational will be a week from today and the Dan Hansen invite will be next week on Saturday.
