This past weekend the Sheridan College Rodeo Team traveled to Ft. Collins, CO. On the women's side, sophomore Jayne Lauweryssen had an awesome long round run in the goat tying with a 6.6 seconds.

However, her goat got up in the short round resulting in a no time. Jayne earned 50 pts. She also did well in the breakaway roping placing 8th in the long round with a time of 3.4 seconds and placing 2nd in the short round with a time of 4.2 seconds. She ended up 3rd in the average earning 90 points.

Participation and GPA's Impressive at SHS FOR 2013 -14

SHERIDAN HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITES AND ACADEMICS - Numbers are up in the participation in sports and activities at Sheridan high school and the numbers show those students are excelling in the classroom as well , Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian.

And he says the students performance in the classroom has been outstanding. And Sheridan high school continues to strive for excellence in all activities and sports.

Bison Soccer Takes Both Weekend Games

Friday, the Bison got three scores from Garrett Monroe and a fourth by James Musselman to down the Trailblazers 4-0.
Saturday the team traveled to Kelly Walsh and beat them 4-2.
They are now 2-0 in conference, 3-0 overall.

The Lady Bison split their games this weekend, beating Torrington 4-0
on Friday and then losing to Kelly Walsh 7-3 on Saturday.
They are now 2-0 in conference, 3-2 overall.

The Bison track and field team was at the Queen City Classic in Spearfish, SD this weekend and had a number of Bison finish in the top ten.

Youth Volleyball Champs

Sheridan Volleyball Club U16 Black Team.

They won the U16A Silver bracket championship at the Casper Grand Prix on Saturday, April 12th.

"Weston Johnson" Memorial volleyball tournament set for April 26th

The Sheridan Volleyball Club will be hosting the first annual Weston Johnson Memorial Invitational Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, April 26th.

65 teams from Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota will be competing in age groups U16, U14 and U12. Games will be played at Sheridan High School, Sheridan Jr High School, Highland Park, Woodland Park and Meadowlark Elementary schools.

Proceeds from the tournament will go towards the Weston Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund at Sheridan High School. For more information you can go to our website, www.sheridanvolleyball.com

Weekend local sports wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams both split conference games with Cheyenne East and Central over the weekend.

The Lady Broncs dropped their match with East Friday but salvaged with weekend beating Central Saturday.

The Broncs were on the road and beat East to open the road trip and fell at Central Saturday.

Both teams will play at home tomorrow with games against Natrona county. These matches were added to the schedule last week the girls match will start at 4:00 with the boys to follow at 6:00.
