SHERIDAN / BUFFALO SOCCER TONIGHT

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Sheridan high school soccer teams play in Buffalo this evening the girls match is set to begin at 4:00 the boys go at 6:00.

The Broncs and Lady Broncs are in for some tough competition tonight. The Lady Bison are ranked 5th in 3-A soccer and are coming off a 4-0 blow out win over 4-A Gillette.

The Bison are ranked number two in the boys 3-A rankings and are coming off a 1-0 loss to 4-A number two Gillette the Broncs are ranked 5th in the 4-A standings this week and are coming off a split of matches last week.

SPRING BREAK ACTIVITIES - It's spring break at Sheridan high school but the school has not been abandoned this week as soccer, track, tennis and golf have been holding practices and tomorrow their will be some soccer and track and field, Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian.

And it won't be too long before Julian gets back into football mode with the broncs as the football program has released their off season schedule for the players and their families.

Buffalo Soccer Teams Split Against Gillette

Buffalo's boys' and girls' soccer teams took on 4A Gillette Tuesday, with the boys on the road and the girls hosting the Lady Camels.

Sheridan College sophomore guard Ron Mvouika has committed to Missouri State University for the 2013-2014 season.

Mvouika, a 1st Team All-Region Selection, averaged 19.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game this past season for the Generals, leading them to a 24-7 records and a share of the Region IX North Championship.

Ron was 1st in scoring in Region IX North and 2nd in rebounding while shooting 48% from the field, 39% from three-point range, and 72% from the charity stripe.

Mike Curry resigns in Gillette

Mike Curry has resigned as Gillette high school boys basketball coach.

Curry coached the Camels for 30 years and won 12 state titles.

WESTON JOHNSON BENEFIT - Sheridan Media will facilitate a fund raising on-line auction on our website sheridanmedia.com beginning April first for former Wyoming Cowboy football player and Sheridan high school assistant football coach Weston Johnson.

Johnson is battling melanoma and the "Never Flinch" group is putting on this auction to help Johnson is his battle.

Sheridan high school head football coach Don Julian is helping head the effort Julian says Weston's treatment for melanoma continues and he is showing great courage.

Pokes End CBI Run with 75-67 Overtime Loss to Western Michigan

Five Cowboys scored in double figures and the University of Wyoming men’s basketball team took Western Michigan to overtime, before falling 75-67 in the CBI quarterfinals on Monday night in the Arena-Auditorium.

The Broncos (22-12) sent the game to overtime on a last-second three and outscored the Pokes (20-14) 16-8 in the extra period to break UW’s 23-game non-conference winning streak in the AA.

“The last game of the season is always tough,” UW head coach Larry Shyatt said. “Yes this one was tough, but I thought our guys played the game the right way.

Sheridan's Wyoming K/C Free Throw Champion

12 year old Jaxon Parker was in Casper on Saturday for the State Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championships.

Jaxon won the 12 year old division by making 21 out of 25 Free Throws he is a sixth grader at Holy Name Catholic School.His parents are Shane and Heidi Parker.
