Lady Bronc Robbi Ryan wins Wyoming Gatorade basketball player of the year award

In its 30th year of honoring the nation’s best high school athletes, The Gatorade Company, in collaboration with USA TODAY High School Sports, announced Robbi Ryan of Sheridan High School as its 2014-15 Gatorade Wyoming Girls Basketball Player of the Year.

Ryan is the second Gatorade Wyoming Girls Basketball Player of the Year to be chosen from Sheridan High School.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Lady Broncs made it to today semi finals at the state 4-A basketball tournament, the Broncs lost and fell into the consolation bracket.

The Lady Broncs played Natrona county and led wire to wire and won 44-32 playing great defense and hitting timely baskets, Dylan Wright lead with 15 points.

The Lady Broncs will play Cheyenne East in the semi finals at 4:30 we will have it live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams open the state basketball tournament in Casper today.

The Lady Broncs play at 9:00 against Natrona county and the Broncs play Casper Kelly Walsh at noon both games will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM.

The Lady Broncs beat NC in their only meeting of the season back in mid January in Casper and it should be a great rematch today, Lady Broncs Head coach Jessica Pickett says it was all about their preparation this week.

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowgirls basketball season came to an end Tuesday night with a 74-66 loss against Fresno state in the the MWC basketball tournament quarter finals.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls beat Air Force 70-48 Monday night to open the MWC basketball tournament Kayla Woodward had 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the way.

Tonight they play Fresno state,Cowgirl pregame starts at 9:00 with the tip at 9:30 on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

2-A STATE HOOPS - The 2-A state basketball tournament wrapped up Saturday with the Tongue River Lady Eagles sending coach Diane Moser into retirement with a victory.

They lost a one point game in their opener against Wyoming Indian then beat Shoshni Friday to make it into the consolation final against Burns.

It was a great game with the Lady Eagles taking the lead and fighting off a very good Burns squad time and time again in the second half winning the game 56-49.
