MARCH MADNESS - Cowgirls win thriller / Lady Broncs at state Thursday / Cowboys open MWC tourney play Thursday

LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Lady Broncs open their state basketball tournament tomorrow morning at 9:00, they play Riverton and we will have it live for you on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls beat Boise state Tuesday 61-56 to take the opener of the MWC tournament.

They will play their second round game Friday afternoon against Colorado state. You can hear the game live on KWYO and 87.7 FM broadcast time is at 1:00.

Cowgirl basketball players Woodward and Lewis recieve post season honors

Two members of the Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team, Kayla Woodward and Fallon Lewis, were recognized on Sunday as the Mountain West announced the 2014 All-Conference Team.

"I'm very pleased for Kayla and Fallon to be recognized as All-Conference selections," said head coach Joe Legerski. "With a 11 members in the Mountain West to be chosen is quite an honor. You need team success to have individual success which is apparent with the two of them leading us all season."

SPRING SPORTS - The spring outdoor track season and high school soccer season begin with the first day of practice yesterday.

Sheridan high school Head coach Art Bauers says the indoor season went pretty well for both teams.

And they were able to get outside on the first day of outdoor season.

LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Lady Eagles beat Kemmerer 55-54 in overtime to win their second straight state 2-A basketball title Saturday in Casper.

They trailed most of the second half but stayed close and in the final :30 seconds tied the game to force overtime, Amanda Buller made a free throw Sarah Rawlings then stole the ball after the missed attempt at scored to tie the game at 52-52.

Buffalo, Kaycee Basketball Done For Season

Kaycee's Buckaroos and Lady Bucs qualified for their State Tournament this past weekend before falling short in their quest for State Titles, while Buffalo's boys' and girls' basketball teams fell short in their Regional Tournaments, neither one qualifying for State.
