Bison Drop Close Game to Powell

The Buffalo Bison football team fell to 1-1 on the season as they dropped their home opener to the Powell Panthers 20-17.
Powell opened scoring in the first quarter scoring on their opening drive but missed the PAT for a 6-0 lead.
Buffalo took their next possession and scored on a 60-yard pass from Collin Rodriguez to Aaron Fenner to take a 7-6 lead.
The Bison added a field goal in the second quarter to take a 10-6 lead into the half.
In the third quarter, Buffalo fumbled deep in their own territory and Powell scored to take a 13-10 lead.

Bison, Bucks Sports Weekend Preview

All of the Johnson County teams will be in action this weekend, both at home and on the road.
The No. 2-ranked Buffalo Bison football team, coming off a 21-0 win at Worland, will host third-ranked Powell at the Bison Bowl Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7pm.
The volleyball team took on the Rawlins Lady Outlaws in a conference matchup Thursday night, and will stay for the Rawlins Invite today and Saturday.
The cross country team will compete in the Wayne Chaney Invite today in Gillette.
The swim team will be in Powell today for their invitational.

Former General playing well / New player joins the 2011-12 Generals

JR Cadot

Current Texas Christian University Horned Frog, and 2010 Sheridan College All-American, JR Cadot finished out his summer by participating in the FIBA Caribbean Basketball Confederation Championship Tournament for his home country of the Bahamas. Cadot and his squad battled Jamaica in an overtime win in the semi-final game of the tournament for a chance to face the U.S. Virgin Islands in the championship game.

Former Generals basketball player makes the Pros

Pau-France) – Former Sheridan College General All-American, Moustapha Diarra has signed a professional contract to play basketball for the Élan Béarnais Pau-Orthez in his native France. After two years on the court for the Sheridan Generals, Diarra went on to become a two-year letter-winner for the University of San Francisco. While at San Francisco, Diarra helped lead the Dons to the quarterfinals of the 2011 CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament in his final season.

WEEK THREE FOOTBALL AT HOMER SCOTT FIELD

FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs will be the only local team to play at home tomorrow as they host the Cheyenne South Bison the Broncs are 1-1 coming off last weeks 20-6 loss at Natrona county.

Broncs Head coach Don Julian says the Broncs learned a lot during the game in Casper last Friday.

And in playing in their first big 4-A game for most of the players it was an eye opening experience.

LADY GENERALS FALL IN WYOMING CONFERENCE VOLLEYBALL ACTION

LADY GENERALS VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan college Lady Generals volleyball team dropped a four game match against Central Wyoming in the Hoffman dome last night.

Central took the opening game the Lady Generals won game two but the Rustlers took control of the match and went onto win game three and then closed it out in game four.

Lady Generals Head coach Jennifer Wietzel says lack of consistent play hurt the Lady Generals last night.
