Bison Wrestlers Struggle at Conference Duals

The Buffalo Bison wrestlers had a rough time at the Conference Duals in Torrington last week, having only four wrestlers suited up for competition.
On Friday, the Bison dropped their duals with Glenrock 72-12, Rawlins 36-6, Wheatland 66-6 and Newcastle 63-10. Saturday they fell to Torrington 72-6, Worland 54-15 and Douglas 72-3.
Individually, Taylor Bell went 6-1 during the meet, Kyle Burton was 3-4, Darby Scantling went 1-5 and Seth Sickler finished 0-7.
Buffalo had seven wrestlers injured last week: 3 with concussions, 2 with injured ribs, 1 with a hip pointer and 1 with a dislocated elbow. In addition to the injures last week, there was one out sick and another attending a funeral.
Coach Jay Camino said, “We're pretty banged up right now, but better now than in two weeks,” referencing the Conference Tournament February 17-18 in Rawlins.
The Bison wrestlers will be at Rawlins on Thursday and will host Torrington at BHS on Saturday.
