Bison Weekend Sports Wrap

The Bison Wrestlers finished fifth at the 3A East Regional Tournament in Glenrock, but a number of individuals will move on to the State Tournament next week in Casper.
Douglas took first at Regionals, followed by Torrington, Wheatland, Newcastle, Buffalo, Rawlins, Glenrock, Thermopolis and Cheyenne East.

Bison that will be moving on to State are Darby Scantling, Jonathan Land, Taylor Bell, Muhammad Khan, Jac Klaahsen, Jace Jensen, Cody Sanburn and Matt Myrick.
In basketball action this weekend, the Bison girls played at Newcastle Friday, beating them 63-39.
Leah Groteluschen had 21 points and Dallas Shaw added 15 to lead the Lady Bison.
The boys hosted Newcastle Friday and downed the Dogies 73-50.
Satuday the Bison traveled to take on top-ranked Torrington and lost a hard-fought contest 63-57.
Aaron Tyser had 28 points to lead the Bison.
Torrington locked up the top seed in the Regional Tournament in two weeks with the win.
The girls also lost to Torrington at home Saturday night 63-55.
Th Bison boys are now 17-4 overall, 11-3 in conference and are second in the 3A East behind Torrington.
The Lady Bison are now 15-6 overall, 9-5 in conference, and are in fourth place in the 3A East.
The teams will take on Glenrock and Douglas this coming weekend to wrap up their regular season.
Regionals are March 3rd through 5th in Wheatland.
