Bison weekend sports wrap

The Bison basketball and wrestling teams competed this weekend with mixed results.
Friday, both the girls' and boys' basketball teams took on Sheridan, and the Broncs took the wins in those games.
The Lady Bison hosted Sheridan, and after a slow start, the Lady Broncs ran away with a 64-38 win.
Dallas Shaw led Buffalo in scoring with 13 points, and Jenna Anderson added nine.
The Bison boys traveled to Sheridan and kept up with the top-ranked Broncs but eventually dropped a close game 45-43.
Buffalo was led by Aaron Tyser with 21 points, Kasey Esponda had 13 and Cam Ostrum had nine.
On Saturday the Bison boys took on the Dogies in Newcastle and came home with a 67-47 win.
The Bison girls hosted Newcastle and downed them 52-27.
The Bison wrestlers took part in the Rapid City S.D. Invitational and finished 24th of 30 teams there.
Individually, Jonathan Lund took fifth place by default at 112 pounds.
At 140, Taylor Bell was vying for seventh place but fell to Jeff Redland of Worland by pin.
And at 189, Matt Myrick wrestled for seventh place but lost by decision in the match.
Next weekend, the Bison boys basketball team will take on Cheyenne South in Cheyenne.
The Bison girls will host Cheyenne South and the wrestling team will be at the Conference Duals at Cheyenne South.
