Sheridan Broncs Take 3rd At State Tournament

Wyoming State Soccer-The Sheridan Broncs Boys Soccer took 3rd place in the State Tournament with a 2-0 win over the Cheyenne Central Indians. After suffering an overtime loss the night before, Head Coach Matt Johnson said they rebounded well.

Dontae Crow scored the first goal and Senior Goal Keeper Zachary Campbell scored the second goal of the game on a penalty kick.

Broncs Fall to Plainsmen in Overtime/Troopers Score A Win Over Roughriders

Wyoming State Soccer- The Sheridan Broncs were defeated 1-0 by the Laramie Plainsmen in overtime of the Semi-Final game of the 4A Wyoming State Soccer Tournament. Although it was a tough loss, Head Coach Matt Johnson said they fought hard.

A penalty in the box gave the Plainsmen a penalty kick that scored them their lone goal.

Saturday the Broncs will play Cheyenne Central at 11am to decide the 3rd place team.

Broncs Win First Game in State Tournament

The Sheridan Bronc Boys Soccer Team defeated the Natrona Mustangs despite loosing a player to a red card. They beat them by a score of 1-0 in the first game of the 2016 State Tournament. Bronc Head Coach Matt Johnson was proud of his team.

In addition to the red card that was given to Aaron Sessions, two other bronc players received yellow cards as did one Natrona player. Johnson shared why Sessions got red carded.

WYOMING STATE SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Wyoming state soccer championships kickoff today at the big horn equestrian center the Sheridan Broncs face Natrona county at 4:30.

Bronc Senior goal keeper Zach Campbell says the best teams in the state are here and they look forward to matching up against any opponent they'll face over the next three days.

4-A first round matches today will have Green River vs Cheyenne Central, Gillette takes on Riverton and Laramie will square off with Casper Kelly Walsh.

WYOMING HIGH SCHOOL STATE SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Wyoming state soccer championships open tomorrow at the Big Horn Equestrian center. the Sheridan Broncs open the state tournament against Natrona county at 4:30.

The Broncs are coming off a pretty good regular season and a nice run in the regional tournament built up some momentum heading into their culminating event.

STATE SOCCER - The Wyoming state soccer championships open Thursday at the Big Horn Equestrian center. The Sheridan Broncs open the state tournament against Natrona county at 4:30.

The rest of the 4-A boys bracket will have Green River playing Cheyenne Central, Gillette takes on Riverton and Laramie will play Casper Kelly Walsh.

In the girls 4-A bracket the match ups are Rock Springs vs Cheyenne East, Laramie against Casper Kelly Walsh, Natrona county vs Cheyenne Central and Gillette against Evanston.

Lady Rams Repeat as 2-A State Track Champs / Broncs take 4-A Regional Soccer Title / Troopers Sweep the Weekend / Rockies at Bucs Today

STATE TRACK AND FIELD - The Big Horn Lady Rams won the 2-A state track and field title for the second straight year and did it dominating fashion led by Bailey Bard who won three events.

Bard swept the sprints winning the 100 and 200 meters and added a title in the 300 meter hurdles, Cassidy Enloe took the long jump and triple jump titles and the Lady Rams also won the 4x100 meter relay title.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles finish 9th overall with LeeAnna Mitchell winning 400 meters.

The Big Horn Rams finished 4th overall and Tongue River was 17th.

State Track Standings / Broncs Play for the Regional Soccer Title Today / Jets and Troopers have home Double Headers today and tomorrow

STATE TRACK - At the state track championships Big Horn set a new 2A record in the girls 4×100 meter relay with a time of 50.11 seconds. The old record was 50.69. The team is comprised of Jill Mayer, Bailey Bard, Cassidy Enloe and Morgan Nance.

The Lady Rams are in 3rd place overall, the Rams are in 11th place. The Tongue River girls are 11th and the boys are 15th.

In 1-A the NSI boys are 12th and in 4-A the Lady Broncs are 7th and the Broncs are 9th.
