Bison Swimmers Prep for State

The Bison Swim Team had all of their team qualified for State already, but last weekend's State Qualifier in Newcastle was a chance to have some fun and have a good workout preparing for State.

First place finishes for Buffalo included Wilbur Holt in the 100 and 200 free; Josh Dillinger in the 200IM; Josh Cohoon in the 50 free; Nate Holt in the 100 back; Kyle Todd in the 100 breast; and Justin Land in diving.
Also, Dillinger took four seconds off his time in the 200IM and Todd improved his time in the 100 breast by five seconds.
The team's goal is to win State, said coach Ron Chapin, but Lander has won 14 straight titles and they will be tough to beat.
The State meet is this weekend in Gillette.
The Lady Bison basketball team split their games last week, Beating Newcastle 65-39 and losing to Torrington 63-55.
Against the Dogies Friday, Leah Groteluschen had 21 points and six rebounds. Dallas Shaw had 15 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and four steals for the Lady Bison.
Saturday against the Lady Trailblazers, Kasi Litzel had 17 points to lead Buffalo. Groteluschen had 14 points and seven rebounds. Shaw had 10 points, 15 rebounds, 12 assists and five steals.
The girls will travel to Glenrock Friday and host Douglas on Saturday.
