The Buffalo Bison sports teams had another good weekend, with the swim team and basketball teams posting wins and the wrestlers competing against some tough competition.
The girls' basketball team hosted Glenrock Friday, defeating the Lady Herders 58-46.
Dallas Shaw led the Lady Bison with 32 points and Leah Groteluschen added 13 to lead the team.
Saturday the girls traveled to Lander and beat the Lady Tigers 72-43.
Groteluschen had 23 points, Shaw had 21 and jenna Anderson added 12.
The boys' basketball team played at Glenrock Friday and ran over the Herders 79-28, and Saturday hosted Lander, defeating them 61-42.
Kasey Esponda had 20 points for the Bison, and Hayden Kessler added 10.
The girls are now 11-2 overall, 6-1 in conference while the boys are 12-1 overall and 7-0 in conference.
Next up, the teams will be at Worland Tuesday and in Douglas Friday.
The Bison wrestling team hosted their Bison Invitational, and Powell and Worland would each go 6-0 during the weekend, Sheridan finishes 5-0.
The Bison would finish 1-5 with a win over Cody 30-24 while dropping duals with Worland, Laramie, Sheridan, Powell and Lander.
The wrestlers will be in Douglas Thursday and at Glenrock Saturday.
The Bison swimmers took their own Invitational Meet on Friday with a score of 357. Sheridan followed with 272.
The Bison relay teams took all of those heats.
Individually, Wilbur Holt won the 200 free and 500 free; Josh Cohoon took the 200 medley; Kyle Todd won the 100 butterfly and took second in the 100 backstroke; Kevin Kramer won the 100 free and took second in the 100 breaststroke; Justin Land won the 1-meter diving competition; and exchange student Pierrick Bultot finished second in the 50 free.
We will have results from their Saturday meet in Worland later in the week.
The swimmers will be in Gillette Thursday and Lander Saturday.
