The Buffalo High School Golf Team will open their season this week at the Wheatland Invite, and Coach Chad Rose said the team has been working hard this summer to prepare for the upcoming season, and he is excited to see how his athletes perform.
He tells us more about the team.
Spencer and Wright have a combined seven seasons of Varsity Golf between spring and fall seasons and have a lot of tournament experience, Rose siad. Spade and Nick Lulias have had a great summer and Rose expects good seasons from both athletes.
In addition, the Bison will have two juniors, Lee Hartley and Tyler Harriet with talent and experience that Rose expects will help the team as well.
On the girls' side, Katie Odenbaugh, Shay Diefenderfer and Cindy Gruntmeier will be anchoring the team, but Rose said a couple of talented freshmen could contribute as well. Rose said he is looking forward to this season.
The team will open their season Thursday and Friday in Wheatland, then host their own Bison Invitational next Monday and Tuesday, and will play in the Sheridan Invite next Thursday and Friday.
