Bison basketball face tough teams, wrestlers head to SD

The Buffalo Lady Bison started their season last week with three wins over some good competition.
According to Coach Michelle Dahlberg, the three wins and no losses in the East/West Tournament in Cody were not surprising.
But this week looks as tough if not more so, as Buffalo will host the Sheridan girls Friday, and Dahlberg said that should be a huge challenge for her team.
On Saturday the Lady Bison will host Newcastle, which will present a different kind of challenge for Buffalo.
The Sheridan/Buffalo game is Friday, game time is set for 7:00.
Saturday's game against Newcastle will tip at 7 pm also, with both games this weekend at BHS.
The Bison boys basketball teams travel to take on Sheridan Friday and will play the Dogies in Newcastle Saturday. Buffalo is 3-0 on the season.
The Bison Wrestlers competed in the Billings, MT invitational last weekend and placed 11th overall.
Brandon Leis went 2-1 on the day and took second place in his weight class.
Jake Klaahsen, with 2 wins and 3 losses took sixth in his class, and Matt Myrick took fourth with four wins and two losses.
“Overall it was a great showing by our kids. We went up against some great competition and found out a lot of things we need to work on,” said coach Jay Camino.
This week the Bison will compete in the Rapid City Invitational Tournament.
“It's probably our toughest tournament of the year,” said Camino.
