BIG HORN FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams football team is preparing this week for a team camp at Black Hills State University by holding a mini-camp at the Big Horn Equestrian Center Head coach Bert Dow says their summer weight program has gone well.

21 players are out this week for the mini camp and the rams are expected to contend again this fall with several returning offensive weapons including the Quarterback Colby Wollenmen, Wideout Wyatt Mirich and Reciever Cole Ponce and the back field of Mike Klepperich and Devan Rogeau.

They are using the days this week to get the team some Reps before they head to the Black Hills state camp.

The first practice for the Rams is five weeks away and Dow says the season is not very far from starting.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers get back into action at Thorne-rider stadium tonight hosting a double header with Sturgis, South Dakota. They are coming off a sweep in Riverton where they won by scores of 8-6 and 12-1.The first game tonight is scheduled to start at 5:30.

The Sheridan Jets are off until Friday when they host two with Lovell starting at 5:00.

BIG HORN POLO - The Big Horn Polo club will host two more cup matches Sunday afternoon at the Big Horn Equestrian Center. They will play the “Chris Ledoux” Foundation Cup at 1:00 and the “Sheridan Motor” Cup at 3:00.

SHERIDAN WYO RODEO - Activities open this weekend with a couple of concerts to kickoff the 80th Sheridan Wyo rodeo week. the rodeo committee has added a Wednesday night performance to the 80th addition of the KWYO.

It will include morning slack performances each day beginning next Tuesday at 7:00 am.

MLB - The Colorado Rockies pulled of an MLB first last night by scoring nine runs the the bottom of the ninth inning and beat St.Louis 12-9. It's the first time in the modern era of baseball a team has scored nine times in the bottom of the ninth to win. Third basemen Seth Smith hit a Walk-off three-run homer to win it. They host the Cardinals in the final game of the series this afternoon.
