The Big Horn Rams football team jumped out to an 18-0 lead in the first quarter with three early touchdowns and were never threatened by the Tongue River Eagles Friday afternoon in Big Horn. The Rams pitched a shutout and cruised to an easy 46-0 win against the Eagles. Rams Head Coach Michael McGuire says that the early big lead allowed some of their younger players, particularly at the running back position, to get some much needed experience.
McGuire expects the team to practice hard and be ready for whomever they host in the first round of the playoffs.
The Eagles finish 2-6 on the season and won't be going to the playoffs this year. However, Head Coach John Scott had nothing but praise for the seniors who played hard despite the score.
The Rams will be at home for the first round of the playoffs next Friday. Game time and their opponent have yet to be determined.
