WESTON JOHNSON BENEFIT - Sheridan Media will facilitate a fund raising on-line auction on our website sheridanmedia.com beginning April first for former Wyoming Cowboy football player and Sheridan high school assistant football coach Weston Johnson.
Johnson is battling melanoma and the "Never Flinch" group is putting on this auction to help Johnson is his battle.
Sheridan high school head football coach Don Julian is helping head the effort Julian says Weston's treatment for melanoma continues and he is showing great courage.
The online auction to benefit Weston in this battle opens April 1st at sheridanmedia.com and there will be several great items for people to bid on.
The group also has a great list of raffle items as well, there are three outlets in Sheridan and more around the state.
SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer team will take a break out of spring break Thursday to play non-conference matches at Buffalo. matches are set for 4:00 and 6:00.
TRACK AND FIELD - The Bronc and Lady Bronc track teams travel to an invitational meet in Gillette this week, Thursday events begin at 10:00 am.
SC BASKETBALL - The basketball season has been over for a couple of weeks for the Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals but both basketball offices at the college are buzzing right now as the coaches start the process of finding players for the next season.
Generals head coach Steve Smiley says in some ways they are more busy now than they were during the season.
COWBOY HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowboys lost in overtime against Western Michigan at the Double "AA" Monday night in the 2nd round of the CBI tournament.
Western Michigan hit a three point basket at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime then went onto win the game 75-67.
The Pokes finish up 20-14 overall, they went 5-14 after starting the season 15-0. Then starting guard Luke Martinez was kicked off the team for a bar fight in Laramie and the team never recovered.
