The Bison swim team hosted Powell last Friday, and easily took that dual.
The Bison had first place finishes from Neil Medders in the 200 free and the 100 breast stroke; Wilbur Holt in the 200 individual medley; Pierrick Bultot in the 100 back; Kevin Kramer in the 100 fly, Nate Holt in the 500 free and Justin Land in diving.
Friday was senior night and the team honored Kramer, Todd, Wilbur Holt, Caleb Dillinger and Bultot.
Coach Ron Chapin called his seniors one of the strongest classes has ever had at BHS, saying they were talented, hard-working, intelligent athletes that know what it takes to be successful.
Saturday the team traveled to compete in the Gillette Invite and finished third of 17 teams, the highest finish of any 3A team there.
Chapin said the team was tired at this meet, but the team did have some good finishes.
Medders had his best time ever in the 200 free and shaved three seconds off his time in the 500 free.
Dillinger also had his best individual times in those events.
This week the Bison will be at the conference meet in Rawlins.
The team's goals, according to Chapin, is to try to set a conference record in the 400 freestyle, and to win the majority of events which should wrap up the conference title.
The diving prelims start Friday at 3:30, and swimming prelims begin at 5pm.
The conference finals will be Saturday starting at 10am.
