TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers played eight games last week going 5-3 and having two in Douglas postponed Saturday those game will be made up July 18th.
The Troopers split two with Casper then beat Cody four straight, the night after sweeping the Cubs in Sheridan the Troops routed the Cubs in Cody by scores of 17-0 and 17-2.
Last Friday the they dropped two in Sturgis by scores of 12-7 and 8-7 there game scheduled for Saturday in Douglas were called off by the Cats and rescheduled in two weeks.
The Troopers will open up an eight game home stand beginning with two games Friday night against Post #320 from Rapid City and ending Monday with two against Spearfish.
Head coach Ben Phillips says they went through quite a stretch with 12 games in eight days.
The troops are off until Friday when they open their eight game home stand.
They play Post #320 Friday then back to back dates Saturday and Sunday with the Billings Halos and another double header next Monday against Spearfish.
They have 14 games left in the regular season the post season opens July 21st at the District tournament in Gillette where the top four teams advance to the state tournament in Cheyenne starting July 27th
Phillips says the Troopers have played well all season and now just want to finish the regular season strong.
JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets host two with Gillette tonight beginning at 5:00, they play this weekend at a tournament in Gillette.
The Jets close out their regular season on July 18th and play at their state tournament in Casper beginning July 21st.
Thorne-Rider stadium will host the American Legion "B" regional tournament opening July 28th.
SHERIDAN COUNTY JUNIOR GOLF - The Sheridan County Junior Golf Series tees it up a couple of weeks.
The first of three tournaments will open July 18th at the Sheridan Country Club, they play at the Powder Horn August 1st and Kendrick Golf Course August 8th.
The Sheridan county junior golf program is open to all boys and girls ages 8-17 players play in their own age groups.
To register for any of these events forms are available at all three Sheridan County courses.
The fee to play is 10 dollars per play and all players must pre-register for each event. the entry deadline for the first event in July 14th.
2011 WYO RODEO - The 81st Sheridan WYO Rodeo week starts this weekend, the four performances of the 81st opens on the 13th and runs through the 16th.
All the timed event contestants are registered and the day sheets for the slack and regular performances have been set all the rough stock competitors and the schedule for those events is due out officially on Saturday.
WYO Rodeo week with start with the "Chris Ledoux" golf tournament at the Powder Horn Friday and Saturday, the Boot Kick Off will take place Saturday at Sheridan college.
The first slack performance will be next Tuesday at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds.
