ALL-STATE SOCCER - Four Sheridan Bronc soccer players have been named All-state for 2013 as selected by the 4-A coaches. Coaches cannot vote for their own players.
The four from the Broncs 3rd place team at last weekends state tournament are Jess Edens, Lucas Wollenman, Colter Carzoli and Scott Passini.
No Lady Bronc players made the girls first team this spring.
TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will be in Gillette for a Memorial day weekend tournament which starts Friday and runs through Monday.
They have a record of 4-3 overall but several rain outs the last couple of weeks have put a real damper of preparations Head coach Ben Phillips.
They will get five games in three days at the Gillette tournament and Phillips says the players just need lots of game situation reps at this point in the season.
And he says right now they have pitching issues especially with control they need to hash out over the next few weeks.
They will open with a team from Regina, Saskatchewan the face Rock Springs, the two teams from Gillette and the Billings Halos.
The next Trooper home game will be our next live broadcast it will be Tuesday night June 11th when they play a conference game with Gillette it's a nine inning game which will start at 6:00 and broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO.
JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets will host a double header Saturday with Newcastle first game of the double header will be at 1:00.
Trooper baseball camp for all Sheridan county Little League and Webb Wright baseball players will be held at Thorne-Rider stadium June 6th,7th and 8th from 9 am to noon each day. They will take registration at the stadium at 8:00 on the first day of the camp.
