BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK - The Sheridan high school track teams hosted the "Gary Benson" invitational Tuesday, the Lady Broncs finished 4th the Broncs were 8th the Lady Broncs had two champions Gabby Edeen won the 200 meters and Maddy McClure took the 400 meters.

Sheridan head coach Art Bauers says it was a great day for the event. We'll do it again Saturday when Sheridan high school will host the "Dan Hansen" invitational.

Gary Benson was a longtime educator and coach in school district two, he passed away in 2011 and good friend and SHS activities Director Don Julian says Gary would have loved this event.

In other Sheridan high school sports notes Julian announced yesterday that the Lady Bronc volleyball team has a new head coach.

The "Dan Hansen" invitational Saturday begins with events starting at 10:00.

SHS SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams resume their conference schedule this week with matches against Laramie and Cheyenne South.

SHERIDAN REC. DISTRICT - The Sheridan recreation district is gearing up for the summer season next week on Wednesday they will host their annual adult softball league managers meeting all teams planning on fielding a team this summer should have a representative at the meeting it will be held at the Sheridan junior high.

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college booster club will host their spring golf tournament May 16th. SC Athletic Director Steve Smiley says they have just a few spots left for teams to enter.

Smiley says recruiting and signing players is on schedule this spring.

WYOMING COWBOY JOE - The Wyoming Cowboy Joe club membership kickoff event in Sheridan on April 30th at the Sheridan Holiday Inn beginning at 5:30.

Scheduled speakers are football coach Craig Bohl, basketball coaches Larry Shyatt and Joe Legerski along with wrestling coach Mark Branch and Athletic Director Tom Burman.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies beat San Francisco 2-1 Tuesday night. They play again today at Coors field the first pitch is at 1:10 live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.
