BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams open their season Saturday at the Natrona County "Earlybird invitational.

As they get ready to compete this week the weather has cooperated and the weather looks pretty good for Saturday in Casper.

Head coach Art Bauers says the Sheridan athletes have enjoyed the preparation this week and they are getting more athletes out this week following the winter sports season.

And he says this first meet is good for the coaches to find out the capabilities of each individual.

1ST ANNUAL "GARY BENSON" MEMORIAL TRACK MEET - This spring Sheridan high school will host the Dan Hansen invitational Saturday, April 21st, that same week on Tuesday the 17th the school has added another special track event to honor late teacher and coach Gary Benson who passed away last fall.

Bauers says it's an honor for the track program to be involved in this event.

And Bauers says it's not a traditional track meet, it will be an event that spectators should really enjoy.

The "Gary Benson Memorial Border War" is scheduled to get underway at 2:00 in the afternoon and run for two to two and half hours and will feature some of the top track and field athletes from our region.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams open their season playing matches with Riverton Friday evening.

The Lady Broncs will host the broncs will play at Riverton, Saturday both teams will participate in a Jamboree in Cody.

TROOPERS / JETS BASEBALL - Sheridan American Legion baseball will hold their preseason player / parent meeting next Wednesday at 6:00 at Sheridan high school.

All Sheridan Jets and Trooper players and their parents are asked to attend.

WYOMING BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys will play more basketball this week as the College Basketball Invitational or "CBI" tournament will play play at sites around the country.

The Pokes will host a game against North Dakota state tomorrow night. We will broadcast the game live on 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM the broadcast will start at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00.
