2011 SPORTS SEASON OPENS FOR ALL TEAMS THIS WEEK

BIG HORN FOOTBALL - Nine Tongue River football players have joined to play with Big Horn high school since their season was called off last week.

Eagle's assistant coach Colter Brantz is in charge of helping make the transition smooth for the Eagles players.

Friday is zero week for Big Horn as the Rams will play their exhibition at Thermopolis.

Head coach Bert Dow says not only do they have several new faces on the varsity roster this year in the last few days they've added the Tongue River kids as well.

And Dow says since the first day of two a days last week they've been a bit behind.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team opens the 2011 season Friday night at Homer Scott stadium against Cheyenne Central Head coach Don Julian.

COLLEGE / NFL - The Wyoming Cowboys open at home on September 3rd against Weber state and the Denver Broncos play their next Pre-season game Saturday night against Seattle.

GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers continue play at two tournaments with players at the Buffalo invitational and in Laramie.

SHS TENNIS - - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams open the season Thursday with matches against Jackson and Gillette in Gillette.

VOLLEYBALL / SWIMMING / X-COUNTRY - All of our Sheridan county volleyball teams open this week at a tournament in Riverton.

The Lady Bronc swimmers and the Bronc and Lady Bronc cross country runners all open this with events in Casper.
