2011 HOLIDAY BREAK SPORTS AND ACTIVITES OFFERINGS

YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals will be hosting one day youth camps for boys and girls on New Year's Eve day at the Hoffman dome.

The Generals camp for boys in the 1st through 8th grades will be on Saturday December 31st from 8:00 to noon in the Hoffman dome the girls camp is for kindergarten through 8th grade and will run on New Year's eve day from noon to 4:00.

SHERIDAN REC DISTRICT - The Sheridan Recreation District will be holding there first ever winter "Ice Breaker" disk golf tournament at the disk golf course at the park in Story Saturday, January 7th. All ages are invited to participate the event is also a fund raiser for the People's Assistance food bank.

Evan Guisik is the tournament chairmen as says disk golf is popular in several regions around the country and is starting to catch on in Sheridan county. And he says there are are a handful of nice course all around our area.

Again the tournament in Story will take place Saturday, January 7th.

The Recreation District will also be holding their boys 6th grade basketball league in January, registration is still be taken through next week Rec District Sports Specialist Dale Boedecker has details.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The University of Wyoming Cowboys basketball team gets back on the court tonight trying to rebound from Monday's loss at Denver.

The Pokes play at Idaho state tonight and we will have the game live for on am 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM the pregame show will start at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver broncos play at Buffalo Saturday the Broncos have a one game lead over Oakland and San Diego in the AFC West.
