HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team will play Cheyenne Central in the capitol city Friday night to open their season while Big Horn and Tongue River wait another week.
The Rams start their new season with a new coaching staff as Micheal McGuire takes over the Rams program.
McGuire has been pleased with what he's seen from the Rams the last week and says their job is making sure the players stay focused for one more week before they play a real opponent.
The Rams face Greybull on the road a week from Friday.
The Tongue River Eagles really have a lot of anticipation this week as they get ready to play their first game after their season was canceled in 2011.
It's been the job of Head coach John Scott to get the players ready for the opener at Lyman next week.
And Scott says they been in pads for a few days and it's time to find out what the players can do in real football situations.
SWIMMING - The Lady Bronc swimmers will be in Casper and Gillette Friday and Saturday.
TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams open play Thursday with matches in Jackson.
VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team will be in Riverton Friday for a tournament.
X-COUNTRY - The Sheridan cross country runners open Friday at an invitational in Cody.
SC VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan college Lady Generals volleyball team opens their season Thursday at a tournament at the College of southern Idaho in Twin Falls.
Their first home date will be on the 28th when they host a match with Dawson county community college from Glendive.
