1-A / 2-A Regional hoops begin today / State swimming and Wrestling open tomorrow

1-A / 2-A REGIONAL TOURNAMENT BASKETBALL - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams have regional tournament beginning today.

The Eagles open the tournament this afternoon against Lusk at 1:30 the Rams will open with Saratoga at 5:30.

In the girls bracket the Tongue River Lady Eagles play Lusk at 4:00 and the Big Horn girls play Burns at 7:00.

The Arvada/Clearmont teams are in Douglas for their regional the Lady Panthers play Lingle at 4:00 and the Panthers play Guernsey at 7:00.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs and Lady Broncs play at Gillette tomorrow to end the regular season the girls tip at 5:30 the boys at 7:30 and you can hear both games live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM.

STATE WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers will open the all-class state championships tomorrow matches begin at 9:00 at the Casper events center.

STATE SWIMMING - The Sheridan Bronc swimmers will be at the 4-A swimming and diving championships starting tomorrow afternoon in Gillette.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams are preparing for their region nine tournaments this week. The generals open Saturday in Sterling, Colorado against Otero JC from La Juanta, Colorado.

The Lady Generals play Lamar CC Sunday night at 7:00 the women's tourney is being played in Rock Springs.

Generals Head coach Steve Smiley says they will play a very good team in the opening round.

They call it march madness because every game is elimination with the one and done format and smiley says that makes for exciting games.

And Smiley likes how the generals have been playing as they head into the post season.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming cowgirls drilled the Air Force Academy Wednesday night 73-32, they play their next game at Boise Saturday.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming cowboys play Boise state at home Saturday afternoon tip off is at 4:00 live on KWYO AND 87.7 FM.

INDOOR TRACK - The Bronc and Lady Bronc indoor track teams have their final regular season meet today in Gillette. the state indoor championships open next Friday in Gillette.

SC SOCCER The Sheridan college soccer teams will have their second season this fall the Generals will have a new coach when the season opens,

Steve Smiley is the Athletic Director for Sheridan college and he says the Generals next head coach is in town and ready to take over the program.

The SC soccer program ended it's first season last fall and Smiley says they learned a lot and had a pretty good season.

SPRING SPORTS - The high school spring sports season is less than two weeks away from starting outdoor track and field and soccer begin practice March 10th.
