REGIONAL TOURNAMENT BASKETBALL - The Tongue River and Big Horn basketball teams open up East regional play Thursday in Newcastle.
In the girls bracket the Big Horn Lady Rams are a #2 seed they open with Southeast at 9:00 Thursday morning.
The Tongue River Lady Eagles are a #1 seed and will open with Lingle Thursday afternoon at 4:00.
In the boys bracket the Eagles are the #2 seed and will play Lingle at noon and the Rams will take their unbeaten record and #1 seed into their game with Pine Bluffs at 7:00.
The 1-A East regional is being played in Douglas and gets underway Thursday as well.
The NSI Wolves open with #1 seed Midwest at 5:30 and the Arvada / Clearmont Lady Panthers open with Midwest at 7:00.
The top four teams from each bracket will be in Casper next week for the 1-A/ 2-A state basketball championships.

LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Lady Broncs will win the conference regular season championship if they sweep their Cheyenne road trip this week.
They are tied with Gillette for the lead and if both teams sweep this weekend the Lady Broncs own the tie breaker.
But the Lady Broncs have two straight after winning 18 in a row to start the season Head coach Derek Bissitt says they have their work cut out for them on this trip.
And Bissitt says the Lady Broncs have only one thing to think about this week and that's just getting better.
We will broadcast both games live for you starting Friday night at Cheyenne Central at 7:30 on 95.9 FM and Saturday at 1:30 the Lady Broncs will follow the Broncs on am 14-10 KWYO.
BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs are still in the hunt to pick up one of the conference's two automatic state tournament bids but they must win both this week at home against Central and East.
They play Central at 7:30 Friday night you can hear it on AM 14-10 KWYO.
Saturday their game with East has changed to start at 11:45 that's game one of our double header on AM 14-10 KWYO.
BRONC SWIMMING / DIVING - The Sheridan Bronc swimmers and divers open the 4-A state swimming and diving championships Thursday afternoon in Gillette.
BRONC WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers will be at the all-class state wrestling championships in Casper. Wrestling gets underway Friday morning at 9:00 at the Casper Events Center.
SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals close out north sub region play tonight with games at Northwest college in Powell.
COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys host the Air Force Academy tomorrow night. You can hear the game live on AM 14-10 KWYO and 95.9 FM broadcast time is at 7:30.
ELKS HOOPS SHOOT CHAMPION - Highland park school 5th grader Noah Erickson won the 10-11 year old age group of the state Elks Hoop Shoot competition this past weekend in Casper.
He will now compete in the regional event in Denver next month regional winners advance to the national competition on Springfield, Massachusetts in April.
